Even in bad weather, you can look forward to a variety of exciting places and activities:
Gampen Bunker – The Museum in the Defensive Wall
Located directly on the Gampen Pass, one of South Tyrol’s largest bunker complexes stretches out. Right at the summit of the 1939 completed state road to the Gampen Pass, the extensive bunker system is situated. It was planned as a second defensive barrier to prevent an invasion of Italy by the German Reich. Almost unnoticed by the local population, endless tunnels were driven into the mountain. The exhibition features historical photographs showing the construction of the road over the Gampen Pass from 1935-1939. Additionally, there are information and plans about the bunker and the so-called Alpine Wall.
The climate inside the Gampen Bunker is excellent for enjoying the flavor of “Monte Mais Kofel” cheese made from Nonsberg meadow milk. The “Bunker Cheese” matures in this special environment.

The mineralized thermal water supports regeneration, health stabilization, and well-being.
